Resolve then to do this.

Take pains to understand what you read. When you understand it, take then always one or another word to keep in remembrance and ponder. Learn words of God by heart; repeat them to yourself in the course of the day.

The word is seed; the seed must have time, must be kept in the ground: so must the word be carried in the heart. Give the best powers of your heart, your love, your desire, the willing and joyful activity of your will, to God's word.
`Blessed is the man whose delight is in the law of the Lord; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.' Let the heart be a temple, not for the world and its thoughts, but for God and His thoughts. (Ps. 119:69; John 15:3,7; 17:6,8,17)

Real, lasting happiness

He who is saved from his sin, and united to God, possesses the utmost happiness that the human soul can enjoy, either in this or the coming world.
Our souls can be truely happy only when our will is fully aligned to God's will.

He still works for us

We all know that Jesus Christ has come to this world and died on the cross for our sins. And we think it stops there. Christs work for us stops there.

But this is not true.

Everyday he is purifying our hearts. Everyday he is running behind us to remind pray, be calm and be contended.

He work for us till we reach our Home. He care for us till we reach Home.

He suffer for us till we reach our Home. His suffering not finished at the cross. It continues till we stop our sin, heartless nature.

"We should be ashamed to see that a fashanable woman put so much effort to beautify herselves than our effort to please Jesus."

The meaning is that she is doing something for earthly things and will last only for few years. We know the love of Jesus and importance of it and it will last forever. Still we are reluctant to put effort to love him.

Greatest gift

The greatest gift we can have on this earth is know God's will.

So let us pray to our father daily, "Dear God please open my eyes to see your will and please open my ears to hear your will for me in every moment of my life".

Souls in Purgatory

The souls in Purgatory pray for us, and their prayers are even more effective than ours, because they are accompanied by their suffering. So, let's pray for them, and let's pray them to pray for us.

About gossiping

One day Padre Pio said to a penitent: "When you gossip about a person it means that you have removed the person from your heart. But be aware, when you remove a man from your heart, Jesus also goes away from your heart with that man."
